HOT NEWS 2005 |
11/23/05 - Check out the Super Truck Challenge Website Jerry's final race results for the 2005 season are 12 first place finishes, 2 second place finishes, 2 third place finishes, 1 sixth place finish and 1 seventh place finish. Charles finished 17 races in the top 5. He got 9 first place finishes, 2 second place finishes, 4 thirds, 1 fourth and 1 fifth. 11/04/05 - Starting this weekend, the guys are picking up a trailer full of tubing. After that, they will be starting to build 4 new rear engine chassis and 1 pro arena truck chassis. They will be making an extra chassis to sell on The Store. If you are interested, let them know, so that they can build it to suit you. 10/17/05 - We had another good weekend at Kingsdale. Jerry took 1st place. However, we would like to request that anyone that is considering going back next year, reconsider. They cut the purse in the modified and the unlimited class without notifying any of the racers. We hope that the racers can all stick together so this doesn't continue to happen. Its not the racer's job to suffer from the promoters loss. All of the racers give 100% to put on the best show that they can, and they should be paid 100%. If you are going to Kingsdale next year to see the Amish Outlaw race, don't bother because Jerry will not be going back. To everyone reading this please pass it on to all the other racers, that if you go to the Kingsdale Fire Company mud race, be prepared to get burned because they may not honor the advertised purse. 10/10/05 - Despite the rain, Jerry headed to the Virginia Motor Speedway for their 1st Annual "Run A Muck" Mud Bog and Mud Sling. It had been raining for most of the day, so needless to say, the 200 ft. track was pretty muddy. The rain had finally stopped just before race time and after battling inches of rain and a foot of mud, we still managed to come out on top with two 1st place wins. We would like to thank Clark Sawyer and everyone else that made this event happen. They have a very nice facility. We hope to go back again next year. 10/03/05 - Saturday night was the final race at the Buck for the 2005 season. Charles had Brian "Turtle" drive his new honda. Charles ran the first 2WD class and was 1 second faster than any of the other cars in that class, but he hit a cone while going over the last jump and recieved a 5 second penalty. Brian lined up in the new Honda for the first time in many years. This run was exactly like Charles's first run. It was the fastest in the class, but he hit the same cone that Charles did for a 5 second penalty. In the 4WD class, Charles started the night with a 6 point lead over Bill Woods. He ran the subaru very hard and won with the only 19 second time of the night. This run should have clinched the 2005 points for Charles. 09/23/05 - The weather was nice at Bodatious last weekend. Jerry won 4 out of his 4 passes. 08/29/05 - The points race is tightening up like always at the Buck near the end of the season. There was a threat of rain all night, but we got the race in with only a few showers. Charles won the first class by over 2 seconds and was pleased with that. After Big Foot and the rest of the monster trucks put on a wild show, it was time for more tuff truck racing. Jerry made his first tuff truck race in a few years. He was racing another Honda that Charles built to do some testing on. He made a real nice run, but got disqualified for not stopping in the box. Charles was happy with how the car ran. It started to shower for the 4WD class, and the track got as little slick. Charles put down the fastest time, but recieved 10 seconds in penalties for the rear tire sliding and knocking over 2 cones. 08/17/05 -On Saturday night the temperature was near 100 degrees at the Buck, but the competition was even hotter. The points series is very close and with the tuff truck nationals just two weeks away, everyone is running hard and it is making for some good races. Charles won his first double header this year by winning both the 2wd and 4wd class. He is pleased with the changes he has made the last 2 weeks and is trying hard to get his 3rd car out at the nationals on August 27th. 08/12/05 - The weather was nice in Vermont last weekend. We were pleased to get a 3rd place finish in class 5 and weren't thrilled to get 7th place in class 6. We are still having trouble with our scoop tires. Congratulations to Mike Lane for getting 1st place in both classes. Check out the video of Keith Mitchell going into his opponents lane. Thanks to all of the safety equipment, nobody was hurt and he was able to run the next day. 08/02/05 - Saturday night at the Buck went well. The first class of 2WD tuff trucks was won by Amish Outlaw Team member Erwin Stoltzfus who is leading the points in that class. Charles finished 3rd. In the 4WD class Charles won by 2 seconds. This win gave him the points lead in the 4WD class. The crowd was on its feet all night with a great monster truck show. 07/11/05 -We had a pretty good weekend at Bloomsburg. Class 5 got cancelled Saturday because of the stormy weather, but it got rescheduled for Sunday morning. That morning we got an awesome 2nd place finish. That afternoon was the class 6 race, where we got a nice 6th place finish. We were very pleased that the car stayed together and we didn't brake a thing. 07/05/05 - We want to thank everyone that went to the Freedom Fest on Saturday at Nottingham Park. We had been asked for several years to be apart of this but could never fit it in our race schedules. We are glad that we finally could this year. We got to meet and talk to a lot of our fans. We gave out over 1000 pictures of the racing team and lots of books, stickers, pencils and pens for the D.A.R.E Program. We want to thank Officer Bob Clarke and Sargent Charles Wilmont for their help in getting this stuff to hand out to the kids. We are proud to be apart of a community where an event like this brings out nearly 10,000 people and goes off without any problems. This says a lot about the people in our area. Once again, thank you to everyone. To see
pictures from Nottingham Park last night click

In all three classes the top 5 cars were less then a second between first & fifth place. We will have pictures on in a couple days. We want to invite everyone to Nottingham Park on July 2nd for their Freedom Fest and fireworks. It is open to the public and is free. The whole Amish Outlaw Racing Team will be on display. We will be giving away pictures and lots of stuff from the police for the Say No to Drugs program. We would like to thank Summers and Zim's Plumbing and Heating and Euphoria Salon and Spa for making it possible to hand out our picture cards on this day. This will also be the first place you can buy the new Amish Outlaw t-shirt. This event will bring out over 12,000 people and we hope that our fans will stop by to say hello. July 8th, Jerry will be leaving for the summer nationals in Bloomsburg, PA. The guys have made a lot of changes to the car and are really hoping for good results. 05/29/05 - KSR Motorsports started their 2005 Monster Truck and Tuff Truck season at Wyoming County Fair Grounds. The show was scheduled for Saturday night, but got cancelled until Sunday night. Sunday night the crowd filled the hill side for a really good show. Charles won both tuff truck races and was pleased with how both cars ran after making changes from his disappointing finishes at the Buck. There are no pictures because of the dust clouds over the track, but the results have been posted.5 - Jerry's weekend in Virginia didn't start out very well. The first pass he made, he side-swiped the wall and ruined a tire. Eventhough that happened, he still got third. On the other three passes, he got 1st. 05/08/05
- The buck season started on Saturday night, not quite
the way Charles wanted it to. He went out with the honda & broke an
axle in the first class. Congratulations to Erwin Stoltzfus for winning
the 2nd class of 2wd. In the 4wd class the competitions was very close.
The track was muddy & the least little mistake was very costly. The
top 4 places were only within 2 tenths of a second of each other. It made
for an exciting race. 03/24/05 -We are looking forward to starting out our mud race season Saturday April 2nd at Bodatious, Virginia. The guys in the shop are anxious to try out the new setups on the car, and to see if they can use all of the new hidden power that they found in the engine. 02/21/05 -Last Saturday, the 19th, we went to a race unlike many others in February. This race was outside. It was at the Kiwianas 1st ever Winter Carnival. Despite the 20 degree temperatures, and snow showers, the show was great. We have some good pictures to add, but we do not have the official results. We do know that in the 2WD class, Charles took 1st and Chris Jumper took 3rd. In the 4WD class, Charles won again, with Trevor Myers taking a 2nd. Pictures will be added before the end of the week. 01/16/05
- **A Great Start to the New Season** Charles was happy with his results. He ended up with a few 1st and 2nd places, but all six of his runs were in the top 5. Currently we are searching for more races, if anyone knows any dates, please let us know. 01/06/05 -Charles's 2005 season starts the weekend of January 14 - 15th in Salem, Va. |
